Bio
A Zoologist, Researcher and Teacher, Ms. Harvey has over 15 years of hands on work as a Wildlife Researcher with Monkeys, Crocodiles, and Australian Fauna around the world; as well as having been a full time Zookeeper specializing in primates, reptiles, and cats. As a teacher Ms. Harvey has taught ages 8 and up about Science, Zoology, Conservation, and Behavior in classroom, summer camp, aquarium, zoo, and public event settings for many years. Her Degree is in Zoology and her specialty with all species is Behavioral Biology. She loves to apply this skill in her classes in the form of positive reinforcement and communication with her students. She is excited to have found a home for her passion for science and high energy at Western Charter Academy School. Her hobbies include motorcycle riding, hiking, reading (goes to the library every week), and cooking. She volunteers with wildlife conservation organizations and still participate in behavioral research. She is also an Army veteran.
