Dear Parents and Guardians,

Thursday, 9/17 – Grades K/1/3/4/6 will start live in the school. All other grades (2/5/7/8) remain on distance learning at this time.

Students remaining on distance learning are required to log in to their Google Classrooms each day to meet with their teachers during their scheduled class times.

Students returning to campus for in-classroom instruction must wear a face mask at all times throughout the day except while eating breakfast or lunch in the café or while outside at PE.

On Thursday 9/17 and Friday 9/18 we will practice the drop off procedures, hallway transitions, lunch times, dismissal procedures, and aftercare procedures with the new grades on campus. We will run the regular schedule with the students in grades K/1/3/4/6 on campus for two weeks and make any necessary adjustments as needed.

All students returning to campus will be expected to follow staff directives regarding revised school procedures including but not limited to: arrival and dismissal procedures, usage of all common areas and shared spaces, limited movement and designated transition paths throughout the campus, enhanced sanitation, increased handwashing, wearing of face masks, and changes to cafeteria procedures.

As you prepare for the return of your student(s) to campus, please review the following:

· Students should not come to school if they are ill including, but not limited to: symptoms of fever (100.4 or higher), cough, sore throat, diarrhea, headache, body ache, shortness of breath, fatigue, loss of appetite and sense of smell, and other flu-like symptoms.

· Students should self-screen at home prior to reporting to school. It is recommended for parents and guardians to take their student(s) temperature prior to reporting to school and for students to not report to school if they have a temperature of 100.4 or higher. Students should not report to school while using fever-reducing medications.

· Students will have their temperatures checked upon arrival in the morning and at specific times throughout the day. Any student with a fever of 100.4 or higher will be sent home.

· Students must wear a face mask at all times when on campus (excluding mealtimes) including during morning drop off and afternoon dismissal, during class times and during hallway transitions.

· Students should bring their textbooks, materials, and agendas back to school. Each student needs to be prepared with their own supplies to use in class as they will not be allowed to share.

· Students should also bring a plastic reusable water bottle to refill at the water bottle refill stations in each hallway. Please be sure to write your student’s name and homeroom in permanent marker on their water bottle.

· Middle school students will not be using lockers. Please be sure that your middle school student has a backpack large enough to transport all of their books and daily supplies from class to class throughout the day.

Please be on the lookout for more information in the upcoming days regarding the dates and times to return any school technology devices, drop off and pick up procedures and student dress code.

I am eagerly looking forward to the return of students to campus starting on 9/17 and I thank you in advance for your cooperation and support.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Manriquez
