Bio

Early on in my life I knew I had a passion for working with children. I went to college to purse a teaching degree, and graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a bachelor's degree in education. I fell in love with early education and worked as a Pre-K and VPK teacher before coming to Western Academy in 2018.

I strive to be a caring and compassionate teacher who is considerate of the diverse needs each student holds, and is able to challenge them to reach their full potential.  I love building relationships with my students, and creating an open and respectful classroom environment where all feel welcome. My greatest professional joy is seeing a child who was struggling begin to “bloom,” and being witness to not just academic growth but social emotional growth as well.

I grew up in Loxahatchee and currently reside in Royal Palm Beach with my husband, son and pets. My 2-year-old son is the light of my life. I love animals, especially dogs, and am an avid believer in rescue and rehabilitation for dogs of all ages and breeds. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, swimming and baking.
